Naoko's oni sidekicks Akai (Red) and Aoi (Blue)

Akai and Aoi were initially sent from the demon realm to fight Naoko, though they were beaten by her even though she was still getting used to her new powers and pledged their loyalty to her instead since they oppose to the demon invasion of the mortal realm. While Naoko still does not trust them they have thus far remained loyal and worthy battle companions as well as providing some insight about other demons Naoko has faced.

The two of them do tend to come across as being somewhat simple minded, but they can be quite crafty and tactical when working together amongst themselves or alongside Naoko. Akai tends to be the more temperamental and rash one while Aoi is the more calculated one. though that said they are both almost quite equally brutish in battle with Aoi preferring to let Akai draw the the enemy's attention while she herself exploits the weaknesses of the enemy.

While not fighting the two of them love to drink and pump some iron, both of these activities often cause them to butt heads, making it seem to those who don't know them that they hate eachother's guts. When this happens they typically end their differences in the end with a sudden game of janken (rock paper scissors) and get right back to drinking...which tends to lead to them fighting again not long after.
