kihmari is the anti leomon, a japanese lion anthro character who actually managed to survive and still be a badass. unlike leomon...dead for good...to never come back.....we will always miss him.

Not trying to denounce what you're saying, but I think you're being a bit too pessimistic. It would make no sense to assume they'd kill off Kimahri just because he's a beastman (though I understand the sentiment). However, he had always been in the design documents for FFX's development as a fully playable character, so killing him off would have made zero sense. And it's not like they killed off Red XIII in FFVII either; they chose to kill off the healer love interest of all character types, which generally doesn't happen in RPGs. XD

lo, i know....but, the trend is, kill the anthros. specially in anime. for example, leomon, at least, now he is dead for good. so.....the trope is over, i guess.

The trend has passed thankfully. And we can always keep Leomon safe in the games and our art at least. XD

indeed. to me, tri, is not canon, it's avery bad fanfic. and....whenever i draw a leomon, it's the manga one (who is an awesome badass character THAT SURVIVES THE ENTIRE THING...) or, an o.c. so, yeah, leomon is still around.
