This page was a refreshing change from drawing scenes aboard The New Discovery - don't get me wrong I love drawing those, but sometimes the brain needs a break :D
Anyway, you all remember that status report that got sent whilst Oscar was preoccupied with evading certain death on page 040? Well, it may be coming back to bite/help him right about now... This page was a tough one to do, and it took me even longer to get it done what with the moving house an all.

at higher tech it could be an AI code screening it first, then telling an operator to see if its judgement was right (if the transmission was relevant).. then again, they are just now replacing the standard suit with an armor one.. and missions have a quite limited range.. so it quite fits the slow-method?
Yes indeed they heard him a good while later, this is because radio transmissions are cheap but very slow. Also the AI in the computer flags up more "urgent" seeming messages with a keyword scanner - but that doesnt speed up the fact that the radio transmissions take so long to travel from Oscar's current location to the space station. Also, if you had worked out the clock at the bottom of the original page where Oscar sent the message, you would be able to see that the time delay in sending and listening was an hour.
