Glue's reaction is that it seems a little horrible of her mom to do that.

It was one of Kaari's mother's tricks, when her daughter started to stretch her legs at the Guild. After Kaari's first field assignment, she pulled as many strings as she could to get such top names in the Adventuring Guild together for a positively delightful bash to celebrate her precious daughter's first accomplishment amongst what she's certainly positive will be many more. Even going so far as to get a friend to talk to a friend who might be able to relay the request for Krinele and Molly's presence. Enough pulls on friends such that they could hardly refuse, even when deep in their own research. Lily and Tara (Krin and Molly's mothers) took advantage of their names being overlooked to fill in for their daughters.
Of course, from Kaari's perspective, the night became one where she increasingly realized how boastful her mother was being in public, while needling her privately... then letting her know how much effort it took to get her idols to the party. Idols that Kaari was very well aware had no interest in being at an event like that, at a time like this. Such, of course, was her mother's ruse, to traumatize her daughter to the thought of adventure while outwardly appearing to be ever so supportive.
It almost worked, but while her instructors couldn't exactly call her mother on the behavior, they could talk her into a "quiet, no-accolades" job. Just meet up with an adventurer who's so buried in her own research she forgets to report in at least twice a week, and get those damn beacons planted. It'll be relaxing, peaceful... and she'd be issued a top-of-the-line grav-speeder. Try to make a friend, and learn some stuff that isn't in the books, Gluneria's been out on her own for a long time.
She learned, when coming inside with the food she'd brought, that Glue has clippings of Krin and Molly's deeds everywhere. Even some little dolls. The conversation turns, with Kaari asking if Glue's a fan of theirs, and how nice they are, that she'd met them recently and they were pretty nice all things considered! When Glue got a word in edgewise, it was a little more somber reaction - they're her sisters, and maybe does Kaari have any means of contacting them?
At which point, Kaari admits that her mother had to pull a lot of strings to get them there... to be honest she doesn't let her forget it either.
Glue, though absent from her mothers (and kid sisters) for decades, never really had anything but a healthy relationship with them. To her, doing something like that sounds like such a horrible way to treat your daughter.
