Even if he doesn't laugh Kibaura is ticklish, his girlfriend knows it and knows the spots that are most sensitive so if she's nearly got him this time she might perhaps succeed the next time and even if he's extremely stubborn and needs to be strong, if even a small part of him wants to laugh then one day he will and I imagine with all the laughter pent up over the years he'll probably end up laughing himself into exhaustion.

In the meantime I suspect it's still very enjoyable for Hikari to keep trying and I don't suppose Kibaura is altogether unhappy about it, or at least some aspects of it.

At least part of him, deep down, must enjoy the attention and playfulness of his girlfriend - at least to a degree. ;)
