It was a joyous moment for King Griphin and Marco as they placed their rings in their respective fingers, and now became one. Despite the agonizing past 10 months, Marco regret having had so much hatred towards Griphin and their impending child. He was still adjusting to the entire aspect of being with another who truly cared about him, as well as adjusting to his newfound paternal love. Marco wanted this love to be genuine, and not something he felt obligated to give.
Griphin couldn't be any happier that he was not only expecting a heir to his throne, but that he became a husband to the very man carrying his son.
While it wasn't permitted for Marco to wear ceremonial paint since he was human, Griphin left his handprint painted on the boy's belly so that he would at least feel part of the ceremony more appropriately. Having Griphin's big green hand on him was wonderful enough, so he was happy with this paint.
