Was trying to flesh out this version of the character by practicing some expressions and character quirks. These are some of the better ones, and they come with character notes.

{A}

Occasionally when he’s excited and/or nervous but doesn’t want to show it or is trying to downplay it, he’ll smile in a way that has him biting his lower lip and showing a little fang. It’s not often that happens, he’s usually pretty open with all his emotions for better or worse. Really only occurs with new people, if he’s expected to act professional, or if he’s lying.

{B}

- Unlike most characters in the show, when he’s upset/scared/angry his pupils don’t shrink but instead blow out, taking up about a fourth of his eye space. Can also get like this when he’s hyper/excited.

- The more upset/scared/angry he gets the more his fur puffs out. Fear makes it the worst. Just gets kind of ruffled or prickly when he’s angry, and it will mostly settle on its own (though be a bit messy) as he calms down. Puffing up out of fear almost always requires him trying to flatten it down some or having to fix it to get it to look right again, and usually, he’ll fastidiously start doing that when he’s calmed down.

- It takes a lot to get him genuinely angry and he’s much more likely to get upset/defensive on someone else’s behalf. Is the kind of person who can’t get angry or defensive on their own behalf without stress-crying.

- He will hiss but very, very rarely. Anytime he does it, it’s a completely involuntary fear/anger response, a good sign that he’s been pushed to his limit/is on the verge of a panic attack, and no matter how upset he is, he’s likely to self-consciously cover his mouth afterward.

- His fur will still poof/ruffle a little whenever he’s even mildly upset. It’s a good way to tell when he’s being genuine and not just being overdramatic, snarky or pouty for show.

{C}

- His pupils do have times when they shrink, and they turn into slits as opposed to just getting smaller, but it only happens when he’s bored/disinterested or he has a bright light shining in his eyes.
