Second of four illustrations, that I did as part of my Master's thesis.

TURRET is a meat-eater with body built similar to plant's roots. It's its way of camouflage. Under the tentacles it has mouth filled with sharp teeth, which it uses to leech on tree's roots, or to devour slowly it's pray.
BEETLE's are not it's usual dinner, but TURRET is very aggressive and shoots whatever is moving in it's sight.
