Khari means kingly.
Which he is. He is the son of the royal family of both the Lion and Leopard prides. Two prides that have been constantly in war with each other. He was the first born cub of a litter of six, to the two rulers.Though a group from both prides, that didn't think the two should be joined by blood, had conspired with each other as a way to set things right. They went in to kill the cubs one night, but only got to kill two before they where caught by the King and Queen. They went to chase them out and banish them from their lands, but they manged to steal three of the cubs on their way out. They attempted to take Khari as well but the lion that was holding him was attacked by his mother and he was lost into a river. His parents tried to save him and the rest of his siblings, but they could only do so much and they lost him to the rivers grasp. They believed him to be dead as well as the other three cubs. The only cub that had survived was a female called Oni.
While Khari might have been though dead he wasn't. He managed to keep himself above water, but soon had grown exhausted. If it wasn't for a lone Leopardess he would have drown. Seeing that Khari was all alone she decided to take him in. She was an outcast and being so she had happened apon others like her, who she took in. Making a small misfit pride of not only Leopards, but Lions, Jaguars, Cheetahs and other strange big cats.
Growing up in this environment did open Khari's eyes to a world way beyond his original ruling pride's lands. Though he was very young when he was separated he has had dreams and visions on his old family and life. This caused the others to start thinking and they offered to help him go to these lands of his dreams where his pride of outcasts knows they can not go. But Khari was still young and if given the chance they wanted him to have a better life then they could offer him. So they sent him to the Pride's Lands to see if they would let him.
This is where his story will start. He knows he has siblings but he dosn't know their names. He just knows he needs to go to these lands and do something. What that something is he dosn't know either, but he is glade that the family he has grown up with understands his need.
