I finally finished this character design and reference ! Phew, it took me about four weeks of working on and off. Hopefully Amon looks good !

The design is based on japanese beetles and japanese maple trees. Those trees have vibrant red bark and pretty green leaves, they're amazing !

Amon lives in a dense forest made of trees of various heights and colors, but his favorite place is a patch of palmate maple trees that contrast with the rest of the forest. He lives alone most of the time but opens his den to traveling divenkas and other creatures if they need it.
He finds happiness in witnessing and helping the growth of horned beetles, he knows where they usually nest and protects those places so the larvae can reach adulthood undisturbed.
Amon's magic is not the strongest, but he can generate invisibility shields and protect vegetation from freezing during winter. He also does little illusion tricks like creating butterflies and fireflies.
