I know I sound like a broken record, but I can't help it.
spiffyart just keeps on creating some of the best art pieces that I've ever gotten. I think this one is my favorite of the three she's done for me, though it's so hard to choose. It features an adult Digitz as a Care Bear, with Cheer Bear on the left and Champ Bear on the right.
What I really love about this one is that it features Digitz as an adult Care Bear...though we all know that he's just a big ol' cub. I'll go into more detail on that later.
In terms of the pic itself, I LOVE Digitz's face. It's just to die for. He not only looks adorable, but he looks so innocent. When you combine it with the body positioning of his legs, his hand behind his back, his thumb and his blankie...it just has the perfect combination of him feeling slightly embarrassed/shy from all the attention, but LOVING it too. And what I really like about it is...it really reminds me of me as a person! So that makes it feel like it really is me in this picture, which is pretty rare.
Of course, the expressions for Cheer and Champ are wonderful as well. They look so loving, kind and caring, and it really adds to the vibe of the pic of how much they love seeing Digitz as a big cub.
So what makes this picture work so well for me is that I can interpret the context of it in so many ways. This lines up with what I've recently posted about in my journals, and that makes me feel so happy.
The funny thing is when I first saw this, my impression of it was that Digitz was Cheer and Champ's actual son. Champ looks very fatherly and Cheer looks very motherly. So when I first saw it, I kind of thought that Digitz was an actual Cub, just a BIG one...kind of like the big looney tunes baby bear. The tied on diaper and body pose is what contributed to that idea.
But, I like other interpretations much better. One that I really like that I mentioned in my journal is the idea that Cheer and Champ lightly coaxed Digitz into dressing like a cub because they thought it would be cute. He played along with it, even though he felt a little embarrassed....but once he did, despite his slight embarrassment, he LOVES all of the attention...and Cheer and Champ love seeing him this way too.
But the last interpretation is by far my favorite. That interpretation is that Digitz is revealing to them that he's a babyfur, so he nervously dresses like a cub with his blankie. And it turns out that Cheer and Champ LOVE him for it. Due to his own insecurities, Digitz is still a little embarrassed about it...but he feels SO HAPPY to be loved and accepted for it.
It's this interpretation that actually led this picture to make me tear up some from joy. It really touched my soul in that aspect. I really felt like it was me in the picture, and that I was able to show some non-babyfurs that I was a babyfur, and that they not only accepted it, but found it incredibly cute and loved me for it. And to have that in my favorite fantasy world of the Care Bears, especially with ACTUAL Care Bear characters....it hit me really hard.
And this wouldn't be possible with Spiffy's masterful work. So I'm so incredibly happy that I'll always be able to look back on this picture and feel great about it.

Hee hee...that's an interesting take!
The sunglasses are kind of my character's trademark. Spiffy actually showed me a version without them, and I debated back and forth about which version I liked better. I very slightly like the sunglasses version better...I love those heart-shaped sunglasses, almost reminds me of cute little pilot goggles!
But now that I look at it, if I didn't know that it was a babyfur pic...his blanket does look a little like a towel and his diaper looks a little like a speedo/bikini bottom.
Of course, they could still be at the beach with it being a blanket and diaper too!
Either way, that's another neat interpretation!

Well, like I said, that’s what’s so great about this pic...it can be interpreted in so many ways!
Though like I said, I prefer to view them as very loving friends/siblings in the Care Bear Family. And in this pic, I love being a big baby burr!
Though if an keep getting pics like this, I’ll have to change my name from Cool Heart Bear to Cute Heart Bear!

Hee hee...yeah, I guess I’ve always forgotten to tell you, but the Care Bear version of my fursona is named Cool Heart Bear. (I think typing Digitz is quicker, which is why I’ve probably forgotten to ever mention it).
And Marshall’s Care Bear Cousin name is Trick Shot Fox. I think I’ve forgotten to mention that too!

Ha ha...that he was! However, if you recall, he did end up doing everything except correctly put on Tugs’ new diaper.
I actually prefer the season 1 version of Champ before he put on the coat and the headband.
I think you’re right that they made Hugs and Tugs pretty big. They were also very mature for cubs still in diapers...though maybe they just kept them in diapers because diapers are cute!
However, I think all of the cubs in the second movie are pretty small.

Thanks Billy! And yep, I’d definitely say I’m just a big cub who never wanted to grow up! And luckily for me, that’s A-okay with all of the other Care Bears!
Like I told Marshall, even though my Care Bear name is Cool Heart Bear, after a few more pics like this I’ll need to change it to Cute Heart Bear!

Like I've said before, you make it so easy to do art for! Your ideas and passion help inspire my art! I really have you to thank for a good part of how this turned out. Your reviews are so sweet and heartfelt. I've never had anyone describe in such detail what it was exactly they like about what I've done for them. It helps encourage me to spend that much more time on the little things.
I'm happy to hear that. The pics you've done for me have inspired such emotions inside of me, and I enjoy expressing and letting out those emotions. That's what makes me go back and analyze the details of the picture and what it makes me feel. I have a lot to say and it makes me feel good knowing you appreciate reading it.
And I really think your attention to those little things really helps make the picture come together and work so well. So from my point of view, those little details are really worth it.
