Amorous Love Chapter 11: Moving In

A couple of weeks had gone by since Skye had come over to Nicholas’s house. While the parents hadn’t met the other their child was dating yet, the fosky and vixen had managed to go on a few more dates since then. Even Colby hadn’t met her yet. The dates had gone well though. One of them had been at the theater along with the hike trail, coffee shop, and aquarium. Nicholas wasn’t surprised by the shop but the others were as his girl didn’t seem the kind to like exercise or be into the marine wild life. But the female had surprised her guy since she didn’t mind the walk and loved to see the colorful jellyfish. For the trail and aquarium, she held onto his arm or paw, the two exchanging pecks on the cheeks. But it was a different story with the theater. Skye and Nicholas found out they liked a lot of the same types of movies which made the choice very easy. During it, the long-haired male moved the arm rest out of the way so the female could snuggle up next to him. Skye did so with love. However, during the third week, she received a call from him. “Hey there,” she said, answering right away.

“Skye, I’ve got some good news,” came his voice on the other end of the line. “It turned out that I’m moving out of my folk’s home to that new place I talked about when you came over.”

“Really?! Oh Nicholas, I’m so happy for you!”

“Yep! Kane and Darcey have extra room and are totally for it! I can pay one third of the rent so it’s no problem! We’ll be moving my stuff over there in a few days if you want to help.”

“I’d love to! I’ll see you then!”

The day came and Nicholas was ready with his stuff. Colby, the fosky’s mother, and the avian’s dad were all here to see the long-haired male off. They had met Kane and Darcy seeing as how Nicholas was in the same band as them and thought they were cool. But this was also a good opportunity to meet Skye at last. “Ah, there they are,” Nicholas stated seeing the car the coyote and wolf had pulling up. His girlfriend was with them as they had met up at the coffee shop beforehand. She had agreed to this.

The three got out and the long-haired male and vixen met in a hug and kiss. “Hey there you…” she cooed.

“Hey Skye,” he replied. Nicholas turned to face the rest of his family. “Colby, mom, dad? There’s someone I’ve wanted you to meet. This is Skye, my girlfriend.”

Colby’s dad raised an eyebrow as the male was caught off guard by this. Nicholas’s mother got a smile as did the younger avian. “So she’s the one you told me about after we went to Amorous,” Colby said. “Nice to meet you.”

“Same,” the vixen replied. This time she wasn’t wearing daisy dukes but rather longer pants. She had made sure to get them before this meeting to make a good first impression. The fosky’s mother on the other hand thought this female was a very cute and friendly person, perfect for her son. Colby’s dad now saw it to and while still looking stern, his eyes twinkled in a good way.

Skye spent a little time talking to them as did Nicholas. The two knew that soon he would have to meet her parents soon. But that could wait as they, Darcy, and Kane got the fosky’s stuff. Soon they had loaded into the car and were off to the apartment. It wasn’t longer until the job was finished. “That was the last of them!” Skye said with a smile.

“Yep, I’m glad to finally be out,” Nicholas commented.

“So then… I guess now that you’re out I suppose it might be easier for us to spend time together.”

“Not necessarily. You still live with your parents after all.”

“True but I’m working on moving out myself.”

“I’m very happy to hear that Skye.” But now the fact of meeting her parents was on their minds. Luckily, Nicholas had a plan for that.
