The day started as any other, Kamui and Charles were ready to train and meditate through the entire morning. Blitz and Moritaka took into town for the day as to get more intel on the attacks to the port town. The two rested within the field and looked to the sea and conversed.

Kamui: so peaceful here, why is it that we need to meditate so much though?

Charles: because Kamui, there is more to having an god than being its vessel, you must commune with them and hone the body to an state of enlightenment. This isn’t just having power.

Kamui: I can attest ookami hasn’t spoken to me much since I got him, I think I might not be suited for this.

Charles: from what I heard from Veneai, hes stubborn and loves battle, but only when protecting everyone.

Kamui: I prefer not to fight but will if I must, how do I get through to him?

Charles: just meditate and find the inner sanctum of the gods will, he most likely will be found when you achieve as such.

Getting into the lotus position, Kamui closes his eyes and thinks in his mind the sactum of Ookami and starts seeing the blank slate forming into trees and foliage all around him. The Wolf begins walking through the luminescent gardens and hearing nothing but the birds and the trees swaying in the wind but soon begins stepping closer and seeing more in the world around him.

Kamui: what is this, the air is silent now….and the ground is….hard….

Looking around he sees swords impaled on the ground and blood at his feet, his eyes meet that of another wolf lowered crying and howling upward to the sky begging for forgiveness.

Kamui: is this him…..is that ookami?

Ookami: you see what war is, an neverending bloodbath, the men lay on the ground never knowing what fate becomes of them after. This place is my past, my livelihood I never felt I was meant to be the god of the hunt, but more than that. I was meant to hunt anyone who caused calamity on this world.

Kamui looked as the god bowed before the moon begging for forgiveness.

Kamui: why do all of this knowing its doing you harm!!!

Ookami: because that was my being, what I was created for, there is no choice in being created as a diety, for the minute you make one choice on your own, you fall.

The ground breaks apart as Kamui is swallowed by a darkened moon seeing past wars and hunts of creatures flooding his mind, he looks outward and sees nothing but Ookami hand grabbing his as the two remain still in the movement.

Kamui: why show me all of this?

Ookami: I would never force you to be my vessel, you’re a pure hearted man whom will defend anyone in their wake from annihilation and I only wish to show you the true history.

Kamui: you have shown me much despair, but that doesn’t change who you are as a person, you have done everything in your power to protect those dear and even when they are gone you still choose to fight, that is a real warrior.

Ookami: I chose right then, my child, you are an worthy vessel. From now on I shall not remain in the age of depravity but allow you to use my power as your own and keep you safe so long as you protect those around you.

Kamui: there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for the people I hold dear.

Ookami: like them?

Showing an image of Moritaka, Blitz, and Charles wounded in battle, Kamui enters full assimilation charging head first at a massive beast shouting for ookami to lend him his strength.

Kamui: VAHALOR REIKEI!!!

A blade of white light protrudes from the sword swinging at the beats and cleaves it in half. The monster dies and fades away as the three go and hug Kamui before closing his eyes and feels himself falling staring up at the moon, from its light an black figure barrels down grabbing his hand and looking at him in tears.

Ookami: never have I seen someone who capable and pure of heart, you know what you wish to protect as well as keep close to you.

Kamui: why is it that you show me these things, why put me through this test to see if my purity is not in question?

Ookami: its meant to see if you are willing to accept the truth of humanity, that war is everywhere and the entitlement of being my vessel is to be the centered one of it all, I hunt those who cause calamity to others and protect those I hold dear to my heart

Kamui: what is to happen?

Ookami: the thing is, he didn’t create Anir or Shagol, they were the twins of two gods whom fell for one another and were brought down by his own hand, there was not much that could be done on the matter so we went on our lives watching but things went out of control.

Ookami: I chose right in trusting you with my power, but it seems someone is expecting you to awaken soon.

Kamui: wait…..theres more I need to ask!!!

Looking to the ocean they see dark clouds looming over and thunder barreling down, the sea parting as they notice an figure running across the water, his eyes black and his legs enscribed in blackened gold markings.

Charles: who is that……

Kamui: an old friend, I wont forgive that wretched god for doing this!!!!

Tann: tired, need rest from that fight, used too much energy.

Falling in Kamui shoulders hes taken to the inn and placed to rest, Kamui slumbering on the adjacent bed as Charles moves to check and make sure the others are safe. In the dreams the two walk under an clear sky barriered in whimisical light, seeing Thor and Ookami both standing over them, the smile downward as the two see an doorway staring at it.

Ookami: I said the truth will be told, if you wish open it or remain in the dark.

Thor: here lies the meaning of the lives we stood for and what we were chosen for later in life.

The two reach out looking at the doorway and slowly open it further both wideyed and shocked a the sight.

Then they start decorticating the house for Christmas while listening to Christmas songs as well and when the house was done and ready for the holidays Snow bakes a delicious cake for everyone and after everyone ate Krampus and Kamui went to bed and Snow and Zen showed Tanngrisnir his room

As Snow closes Tanngrisnir’s door he picks up the yawning Zen and takes him to his room and undresses him and puts Zen in his Persona 5 shirt and Kingdom Hearts Pajama pants
