Since updating the actual comic had to be delayed today, I posted this detour comic on the site. It will be taken down after I can get the real comic up.
I really am bitter about the Twilight series. At least I got good comic material out of it.

It's true, the website will be updated sooner than this account.
If you'd like to read more of this series, I have them posted on my DA account: http://ellen-natalie.deviantart.com.....re-2-129300373

You know... I only remember when vampires were cool and awesome, back when they struck fear in my heart. Then I noticed just bout every vampire is like "oh boo hoo! I'm immortal and bored!" And to relieve myself of this image I watched Vampire Hunter D... and Count Lee was the same.
When were vampires cool? Please tell me.

Bram Stocker's Count Dracula. That's about it, litterature wise.
Mind you, I've found the Blade movies pretty good. Mostly because those vampires aren't Emo Twits, but bloodthirsty, unsympathetic monsters. And Blade is more focused on slaying them by the truckload then in feeling sorry for himself.

Very true on both counts.
I do however have 1 major beef with the blade movies, and that's on the point of silver. First movie, heart or the head otherwise it's your ass. 2nd and 3rd movies you just friggin scratch or breath silver at a vampire and they died. I understand they're supposedly less pure and weaker but that seems excessive.

I enjoyed the first three books because Meyer took a different spin on some classic legends, creating a fun new world to play in. (Though not take as seriously as some fans did~)
But the fourth book, (spoiler alert,) she spends hundreds of pages building up to a huge battle with super-powered vampires and wolves. When they finally meet up on the battlefield, they talk out their problems and leave. The End.
At least Rowling had the guts to kill off half her characters. (But that's a rant for another day...)

If people like Twilight they can still like it, but still it is fun to make fun of it a little just to see the reactions of the people who take it way too seriously. Me and a friend of mine saw the movie together and we laughed at some of the ridiculous parts, the fangirls in the audience were giving us death stares XD
