A character from an American Indian tale "The Owl Husband," (from a book of compiled tales by Richard Eudoes and Alfonso Ortiz, just in case anyone's interested in looking it up. There are some interesting tales in there!). While I read the story I had a funny vision of the disguised owls obviously being owls, but with human tools and clothing. This one's the owl warrior again, this time being a show off. If I ever have time I'd love to design the rest of his family :3

Ahaha!
My grandpa used to tell me stories like that! He was Cherokee.
I don't remember a lot of them, unfortunately, I was pretty young when he started forgetting them.
But your take on this story is really cute and funny!
I can imagine the owl waddling up to a hut all 'Hey. Hey, um, I am totally not an owl.' and the people inside are all 'I dunno, guys, he looks legit to me! Never heard of an owl in a loin cloth, that would be silly.'

Neat! I've always found the tradition of passing down stories fascinating. It's awesome how it's a way to connect people, and at the same time everyone sees the story play out differently in their own mind ^_^
Hehe, and that's just about the scenario that I imagined too xD
