A simple AU

So lets flash forward to the future. In this timeline, Silver’s future was saved because of the combined efforts of Sonic, Shadow and himself back in 06. So Sonic’s gone and Shadow is MIA. Silver, having learned from Sonic’s heroism, has taken up the blue hedgehog’s position as a hero and is fighting a descendant of Eggman who seeks to try to accomplish what his ancestor had momentarily achieved in Unleashed before Sonic took that away from him. And since Silver has taken up Sonic’s role, he takes it upon himself to try to stop them. Unfortunately for Silver he gets captured and brought to the space laser. The Eggman descendant assumed that Silver has the emeralds and tried to force him to use them so he could take the power of the emeralds to wake up Dark Gaia. Luckily for Silver, Shadow bursts in in full super form to try to rescue Silver and stop the villain. Unfortunately, thanks to the learned knowledge of Eggman’s mistakes, the villain stuns Shadow and knocks him out. As the villain activates the machine, Silver escapes his bindings and, just as the Emeralds burst out of Shadow, he leaps into the machine, pushing Shadow out and replacing him in the centre. From there, imagine the transformation scene of Unleashed but with Silver instead. The reason Shadow sticks around Silver and helps him is because he feels like he needs to because Silver saved him from being turned into a werehog himself. Also, he wants to make sure Silver doesn’t get too side tracked and actually fixes the Chaos Emeralds
