This month's Patreon piece from
keetahspacecat, is Amanti Jyraneth, an evil cat incubus from 'Dark Lord Rising'.
I say evil, because Amanti certainly was brought up evil, and has killed hundreds, if not thousands of people over his long life. To his credit, he's realised that it's a Bad Thing to be doing and has made great progress in curtailing said murder habit... he just isn't quite there yet.
I think this is actually the first ever fullbody picture of Amanti, Keetah did a great job with him.
For those curious, Dark Lord Rising can be found here: http://projectfuturecomic.com/darkl.....hp?strip=01-00
...though he doesn't really show up until the end.
I'll link to Keetah's original piece when she posts it on FA.

This is the problem, Merlin always manages to make the bad guys look cute! Though partly because of this he got a rather more sympathetic portrayal in the comic than was originally intended.

...in fact he was originally supposed to be a husky. But when Merlin drew this guy as an example of an evil soul-stealing 'Cubi, there was a sudden change of plan and we used that design instead.

He was always more of an anti-hero than a villain per se. I rather liked the description someone posted on the comic forum: "Making him nervous, contrite and apologetic makes him feel like someone who's been through the system, who's been in good faith put in charge of policing himself before he's ready to do so and honestly wants to be better."
Amanti as originally written was unrepentant and pretty unlikable, to be honest.
As for making him a husky, I have a bit of a problem that most of the characters I've created are canids of some kind. Having him as a cat helps offset that.
