Dee does have a bit of shapeshifting skills of his own, boosted by his demon power, so he has enough ability to influence transformations and the (un)merging of other people. But even though his tail pulling is a bit more effective than normal at getting somebody unmerged, even his demonic power seems unable to overcome the permanence of that tail merge 😝
