Aranifer ♀

Bio: Female aranifers are the queens of their hoard of male drones. Queen's bodies are completely translucent along with their organs. For centuries it is believed they don't even have them. Because of their dome and clear bodies, they are used as magnifying glasses. They are able to focus in and out depending on the doctor's orders. Aranifers are one of the few mytharies (working title) that require at least a Masters in medicine and mytharies before attempting a partnership with one. Extremely smart and intuitive, these creatures can remember and replicate complex surgeries it has done only once. If the queens deem her human partner ill fit, the queen and the drones will extract vital organs and juices from their human partners and take over their practice. It is not uncommon to find abonded independent practices or whole hospitals taken over by a single monarch.
It has been reported some queens have grown up to 9 ft due to the magical creatures she has consumed. These instances though rare, colleges do all they can to prevent such a fate. When encountering a wild aranifer, do not be alarmed. Most are quite peaceful creatures and will even heal strangers. Just hide your clerics and fairies; queens only consume the most medical knowledgeable creatures.
If a cleric treats their aranifer with respect and keeps up with their base knowledge, it is rare for her to revolt with her hoard.
Queen's venom is a natural and harmless muscle relaxants. This causes the patient to become completely subdued and even numbs pain temporally. Queens also communicate to humans and their hoard through soft clicking and sighs, some even compare it to ASMR and find it soothing. Their thread is used to sew up open wounds, making casts, and even containing violent patients. To make this anti-bacterial thread, it must have a diet consisting mostly of garlic, honey, and ginger. You can sprinkle this with their meals and they do quite enjoy the taste. Though with the queen body mass and the size of her wings, flight for her should be impossible. Aranifers however, do not care what mytharians think.

Aranifer ♂
Body size: .5 cm-2 mm
Unlike female Aranifers, males rely solely on instinct and do not think outside of the Queen's will. Some are so small, they can not be seen without the magnification of a Queen. These little creatures can pick up 100 times their weight and are agile enough to crawl inside a human's body without any damage. Unlike their clear Queen, drones are brightly colored and almost shimmer in the light. Some believe this makes them easier to see during operations. They are known to sewing up ripped vines or cleaning out collaged arteries. Drones also can eat rotten or poisoned flesh of off a victims body. These little guys save a lot of people from losing body parts or just death in general. Drones are extremely hard to kill, due to not only their size but numbers as well. They can crawl through someone's brain without damaging it and also survive swimming in stomach acid. Gross fact but some patients after operations have reported finding some living drones in their stool afterward. The Queen is unfortunately not as sturdy as the drones. If a queen perishes, the drones collect the ingredients for "Queen Jam". It is made out of royal moon jelly, freshly picked celesberries, and human brain fluids. If you see a hoard without a queen, run. Once the Queen jam has been made, all of the drones will rub each other with it. After a few hours, a young Queen will appear from the hoard and take charge of their new kingdom. Some wonder if the previous drone Queen recalls her time as a mindless drone, but this is a fact that'll puzzle the minds of mytharians until the end of time.
