I met an extremely intriguing individual in a tiny hamlet South of Oxford. I was en route to board my traincar back home. As it was getting rather late I asked a gentleman for the way to the nearest tavern. He obliged, before promptly informing me that he would be joining my company, as he was rather parched himself.

In the tiny dark pub we talked at length. He seemed particularily interested in my teaching position back in London at the grammar academy. The night wore on and I indulged quite heavily in the local ales. By the end of the night I was at a loss to properly measure the gentlemans hair and tail, as they seemed to shift and change with the sways of my liquor addled mind. Finally, after many drinks and a comfortable enough rest I was on my way back home on the next train.

Nothing much else to report, my darling. Now I shall go and shut the window, the light from the full moon is doing ghastly things to the headache I'd just gotten after sundown.
