In my most recent journal I mentioned - among other things - that I was thinking about making changes to my fursona. Until a few months ago I never really considered to change anything, especially nothing major like the species. I did not expect to ever feel such a strong personal connection to something I basically made up in about five minutes. After all, it was a means of representing myself online on various platforms for half a decade.
I didn't have any actual OCs beside him and I guess it's partially due to this exclusiveness that this decision is so surprisingly difficult for me to make. Nonetheless I just don't feel a dog as my sona fitting anymore.

From now on my fursona will be a european badger. I think it suits me better in various ways (mainly because I'm a cursing grump most of the time anyways XD ). Plus it drags me a little out of my comfort zone of drawing mostly canines. Minor changes to the markings are probably about to be made. There's a lot of work for me to do now: new ref sheet, new comparison meme (long overdue), new Telegram stickers...
I can not rule out the possibility of switching back someday, but I don't think it's going to happen any time soon.
