The Korps, in one form or another, has been around for longer than most people realize. Even if one were to remove the current heads and burn the body, something would persist, and given enough time, regrow and once again flourish in the ashes. It has done so before, and if the world ever gets its act together and forces the matter, it will do so again.

As timeless as the Korps itself may be, its own methods and presentation are in constant motion, adapting and growing to fit new needs and means. Iconography is as important as function, and neither can survive if left unchanged forever. This constant shifting has been key both to its survival and to its tendency to come back time and again.

The Korps does have uniforms, or at least a dress code. Individuals are expected and encouraged to start from one of several bases, and with the help of skilled and eager Korps tailors, find a design that they can be proud to wear. This is the same approach given to the freely available body modifications, with the same intent: you can be your perfect self, so long as you remember who gave it to you.

Counselor Balina Dakós prefers not to risk tampering with perfection, as she already considers her body to be an ideal example of Korps engineering. She typically wears something very close to a default, regulation officer's uniform, customized only to match the ways in which she has customized herself. The intent is to simultaneously flaunt and inspire what the Korps can do with someone who is willing to let the organization have its way with them, while still driving home the unmistakable reminder that the helixes are the only reason she is here at all.

Of course, that uniform was simply what officers wore at the time she acquired her position as a Civil Control Counselor, which might as well have been a thousand lifetimes ago. Every once in a while, it does one good to refresh and try on something new. Korps fashion has made amazing steps in just the last few years, and it was high time to stop by the robotics lab to finally get that extra set of arms incorporated, anyways. She has yet to receive any complaints to her face about the new look.
