He does stand out in that he hasn't actually been apprehended, most authorities are chalking this up to his selective planning and latent magical properties (being yokai and all). He isn't exactly the sharpest spoon in the knife drawer, though.

what makes it worse is that he's not even a duck.
I found out about kotengu while researching for this one. Rather than the red-faced uber-nosed winged demons that proper tengu are, kotengu are actually these weird crow-man-monsters (bordering more a species than normal for yokai). ... so it's a crow boi who's wearing a fake duck bill mask as a disguise. XD
