Aaand here's another piece of Steven Universe fanart, this time focusing on our favorite whiny jerk turned badass pirate Jesus, Lars Barriga ! :3
His current outfit being clearly a Captain Harlock reference, I decided to try and draw him in a Leiji Matsumoto-inspired art style.
Fun fact : when the anime was dubbed in France and Belgium, Harlock's name was changed because it sounded too similar to "Haddock", the adventures of Tintin being *very* famous here. "Captain Harlock" was thus renamed "Capitaine Albator", after the albatross bird. Pretty badass, huh ?
