Valsalia did a page about this. A yinglet is considered "old" if he/she get to live for more than 25 years old.

ah, well teaching generation after generation would be difficult with such a narrow life span. I thought they might be like goblins and live forever if not squished. Yeah he should be accepted well enough, they might consider him an elder because of his "humanity", and more focused/calm nature. Dementia in another few years barring him being stepped on/becoming fish food.

Oh boy is he going to be surprised as to how yinglet culture works. Never really gave it much thought until now but he HAS been living like that of a human. I feel safe to say he won’t enjoy the enclave life style.
