AniMECH Co-Founder: Takahiro Yamamoto

Taking a slight detour to focus on some world-building and lore. I know there's a handful of you out there at least that have been asking for this sort of stuff. It also feels really good to get this stuff out to you guys because even though I don't draw it, I've got so much lore stuff thought up in my head that I'd like to be public knowledge. Anyway so yeah, you want to see the founders of the AniMECH corporation? the guys who you can think for all these anthro-cars?
Takahiro was head of an artificial intelligence institute in Kyoto in the late 70s when he met the American robotics pioneer and future co-founder of AniMECH Charles Ross (not shown here) at an international technology expo in Japan. Impressed with Ross' articulate and complex robotic chassis, Yamamoto invited Ross to his institute where he presented some of the firms breakthrough technology in quantum computing and the creation of true computerized consciousness, yet still in it's infancy at the time.
The two decided to combine their strengths in what eventually became the Animechatronics company, later shortened to AniMECH. Though not originally focused on automobiles, AniMECH originally focused in on the construction and military sectors, creating advanced and self-operating mechs. It was when they had moved into self-operating vehicles, tanks, jets, front loaders, cranes, and bulldozers that the idea was thought to create robotic self-driving cars.

Am I the only one getting an Elon Musk/Markiplier vibe from this guy? I guess its the face, but it kinda makes sense!
Elon Musk: Super Genious trying to advance us as a species, has his own AI that he is fearful of.
Markiplier: Man baby gamer with a heart of gold... loves boobs and anime, also famous for animatronics of FNAF, draw any comparisons to your sentient, animatronic cars ;)
I am looking way too deep into this, great work mate!

Oh god.. now you said it and now I can't un-see the Markiplier appearance.. gah.
Intentionally he's meant to be modeled after a mix of Steve Jobs and Hiroshi Ishiguro
In universe, Elon Musk really is not a fan of AniMECH because of their use of AI or.. well lets face it .. actual intelligence. More of that can be read about in the Tesla picture's description.
