Another new story, featuring two recurring characters from my art posts. This is the story of Yerin, my goat, getting her brain removed for the first time by Jack, my wolf. Hope you enjoy
“Jack are you sure about this?”
The grey wolf nodded, a smile pasted on his face as he added the final glob of solder to a circuit board bent into a half-cylinder. His precise hands then lifted up out of the way, setting down the iron and solder before grabbing a microscrewdriver and a cover plate. His next few seconds were spent carefully covering the delicate board with a durable piece of carbon fiber. “All done Yerin!” he cheered, reaching over to the side and giving the small goat a big hug and a kiss on the forehead.
“Well…you see, I never really had anyone…make any modifications for me…” she looked down from the stool which her legs dangled off from before looking up at Jack’s eyes. “I’ve done most of everything myself. And…especially nothing that messes with…” she pointed a finger at her head and spun it around.
“Haha,” Jack let out a hearty chuckle. “It’s nothing, really. Well, would it help you if I had mine out while I worked on yours?”
The goat paused, looking into Jack’s eyes. “Well…as long as it doesn’t interfere with…yeah, sure. Go ahead then.”
He nodded, setting down the finished chip and screwdriver onto his workbench. His hands went up to his head, rubbing at his temples a bit before gripping down firmly, twisting to the left as the entire top of his head above his furry ears came loose. Delicately, the wolf lifted off his skullcap, revealing a steaming, glistening pink brain, healthily throbbing away with anticipation of the coming moments. “Ahh…nice to let it out once in a while,” he chuckled, leaning down closer to his partner so she could get a better look at it.
Yerin looked up at brain, her eyes fixated upon the quick undulations that made up the whole of Jack’s mind. She reached up with her hands and made a quick pass with her fingers, shivering as she felt the warm of his brain radiate off into the cool air, as well as the meaty texture of each individual folds that comprised the wolf’s memory and personality. Jack shivered, moreso as a involuntary response.
“Hehe, remember there’s healing gel under the workben—yaa!!” He yelped and twitched as a tiny finger ran across his frontal lobe, more so digging into it and creating a shallow grove on his mind. The sudden roughing halted whatever thoughts were traveling through his brain at the time, knocking Jack down a few notches in terms of intelligence. “Haah? Wh….goat? Where? Goat?” he looked around as if in a panic, tail wagging as he looked around for his favorite caprine, mind throbbing confusedly until he looked down. “Oh! Goat!” he smiled.
Yerin held back a snicker. “I love it when you do that.” She gave his brain a few loving pats, eliciting slight jerks, even nuzzling her head against it, eliciting major jerks. Once she was done, the goat reached down and brought up a small unlabeled canister from underneath the workbench where both sat. Dipping a finger into it and drawing out a tiny smear of transparent pink gel, she calmly spoke to the derped wolf. “Jackie dear, lean your head down and keep still for me please?”
“Oka!” The wolf obediently replied, brain sloshing forward as he once again exposed the whole organ to the goat. Yerin ran her finger back across the groove, dabbing the gel onto and into the raw parts of his mind, kissed him on the nose afterwards. Both of them blushed.
-
After about a minute, Jack was back to normal, blinking rapidly as if he just left a dark room, brain still exposed and throbbing eagerly once fully repaired. “Well, Yerin, I think we should begin, shall we? Can’t just keep on playing with mine, haha” he held the silver chip in his right hand, turning it around absently in his fingers while he flicked his brain with his left, causing his eyes to momentarily cross.
“Okay, fiine,” the goat finally agreed, taking a deep breath to steel herself for what was to come.
“It’s really easy actually. You won’t feel a thing either.”
“This better isn’t some ‘the brain has no nerve endings’ bs joke you’re trying to pull on me” Yerin jabbed.
“Nope! Already explained it, but the knife draws no blood and creates no mark,” he looked innocently at the goat, placing a mirror in front of her while moving behind her, holding a scalpel-like instrument.
“A miracle I guess…let’s get this over with,” she sighed.
Jack’s hand gently I inserted the blade into her left temple, Yerin winced, anticipating the feeling, but felt nothing even as the wolf had finished tracing around her head.
“Wow…that…uh…” she was at a loss for words, even more so when Jack placed his hands onto her horns and gently shimmied them off of her head, revealing a small but densely wrinkled mass of neural tissue fitted snugly into her head, pulsing rapidly with nervous though
“It’s so cuute!!” was the first thing Jack said, eliciting major blushing from his caprine partner. Without even asking, he poked a finger down onto it, tracing one of the million folds of her mind.
Yerin bleated softly, twitching as she felt an uncanny sensation. “J-Jack!!” she said, knowing full and well that the wolf was already messing with her mind as the mirror was right in front of her. Her own hands shakily crept up to the side of her head, reaching the rim where she felt the clean cut of the bone. Just a little further and she grazed the side of her brain. “Baa!! I touched it! I touched myself!”
The wolf burst out into laughter, hands already left the goat brain lest he accidently squish it into a pancake. “Silly goat, haha! You’re small, so your brain is small too!” he gave the organ a flick, sending it jiggling back and forth like a jello cake.
“Baaaa!” Yerin bleated again, this time her eyes crossing as a smile crept up her mouth. “Th…that was fun. Do it agai—” she was cut off as Jack indeed did do it again, a little harder this time as the goat spasmed and hunched over, mouth slack as a small stream of drool started to drip from her mouth and onto her white shirt and coat. She giggled inanely, then leaning back onto Jack and looking up at her favorite wolf. “Fluuufffy!!” she stuck the tip of her tongue out.
Jack snickered, reaching down and giving the goat her first real brain massage, his hands delicately pressing down onto the surface of her mind and rolling about with his thumbs. He watched each fold part under his fingers all while Yerin made weird goat noises. Depressing his fingers onto a particular part of her brain, Jack watched his partner kick her leg out or extend her arm, smiling gleefully.
Yerin as a personality was doing fairly poorly, her previous intelligent demeanor completely melted away by the gentle relaxing sensation of Jack’s fingers upon and within her mind She was just giggling away dumbly and hardly noticed when the wolf slid both his hands down the side, nestling in between her skull and brainflesh with fingers curled up from the bottom. Nor did she really notice when Jack started to tug the whole organ out, pulling upwards as her whole head felt lighter now that a dense glob of brain matter was no longer weighing it down.
The wolf continued to stretch her brainstem out, the single tether connecting an organ the size of an orange with the fluffy goat body held taut until, with a tiny pop, Yerin’s brain detached from her body, causing the caprine to further slump back into Jack. The brain throbbed happily, if not confusedly in his hand, quite heavy for its size as Jack had not anticipated. “I guess you gotta have a nice dense brain to be this smart.” He chuckled, rubbing the folds. “I wuv yoo…” he cooed, bringing the whole thing up to his lips and kissing it deeply. It smelled a bit metallic but it had a somewhat spicy taste. Jack set the small brain on top of his own, which was still exposed to the air. He shuddered, blinking his eyes a few more times as he felt the weight of her mind gently squeeze down on his, so he gave both of their brains gentle pats.
Yerin’s body looked up, giggling at the funny wolf and his double brain. She was picked up by Jack, raised by the arms before her body was pressed against his in a tight hug. She baaed constantly, smiling as Jack nuzzled his fluffy head against hers.
-
It was about half an hour of brainless cuddling and Jack had finally gotten his fill, smiling as he pet Yerin for one last time before setting her down onto a stool. Her body had tired itself out and was slumped over, sleeping with a long trail of drool dripping from her chin. Jack plucked her brain off his, gently setting it down onto the workbench as he grabbed the chip from earlier and another chip of different size of and shape—a silver cone rather than a cylinder. He gingerly inserted the cone into the goat’s empty skull, slotting it in where her brainstem would normally go, doing so quietly and carefully as to not disturb the sleeping goat. With haste, he clipped the cylinder onto the brainstem, gently rubbing the organ and feeling it throb in his hands
-
A few minutes had passed and Yerin finally blinked awake, sitting upright in a swivel chair and yawning. “J-Jack….what happened?” she rubbed her eyes. The wolf was nowhere to be found. Her skullcap was back on her head with no signs of it ever being opened, but her whole head felt…light, as if someone had filled it with helium. “Jack? Jaaack?”
Suddenly, she twitched, legs stiffening as her arms extending out in a T-pose. As soon as it had happened, she was back to normal, confused as can be. “Jack!” She twitched again, this time, legs extending forward as she took a rudimentary step in the same direction. Then in another direction. “J-jack! What did you do!”
And then, her face went blank, letting out a baa and a sigh as she forgot what she was mad or concerned or confused about, just swimming through a sea of bliss. That came and went to, and she shook her head back awake. “…what the…” she heard snickering from within a worktable cabinet.
“Jack! Give my back my bra—ah!!” she pried open that suspicious door, only to lose her balance and fall onto the grinning wolf’s body. Jack was huddled within holding her brain as his fingers danced across the cortex, playing around with it as if it were a remote control.
“Silly goat!” he smiled, petting Yerin’s hair as she rested against him.
“I hate you,” she looked at him angrily, squirming her arms and trying to get up.
“No you don’t. Boop!” Jack lightly tapped her nose with his, eliciting sneezes from both of them. There was an awkward pause followed by giggling afterwards.
“….fine. You’re right. Now give me my brain back,” Yerin relented.
Jack smiled and inserted two fingers into her frontal lobes.
