Although seemingly similar to Ghosts, Wraiths are very different. Thought to be a soul that remembers only death and despair, Wraiths appear as a dark, transparent robed humanoid. They actively seek people to kill, assaulting victims with a freezing presence and a life draining touch. They do have a slightly physical presence, limited to the terrain and not able to traverse through walls and unmoving objects. They can be kept at bay with melee weapons, although they seem to be unhampered by fast projectiles.

Wraiths seek to kill. Those they kill are transformed into a Wraith. In darkness Wraiths can locate people from afar who are looking at them, but in daylight they become slow and unaware of people unless they are within touching distance.

Wraiths are vulnerable to arcane and holy magic and weapons. Defeating a Wraith does not stop it forever - it reappears at the location of their death and they can only be stop once and for all by destroying or sanctifying their dead body.
