One of the primary dangers facing skyfaring adventurers are kobold air pirates. Before the Breaking of the World the craven draconids hid out in caves and subterranean tunnels, but due to the seismic upheaval that marked the end of the Old World they were driven to the surface, and many managed to find their way to the Basin. There, kobold sorcerers developed bloodlines with stronger draconic heritage to lead their people: urds. Possessed of both flight and a certain megalomania, they have taken their people as a whole into the skies above the Basin, waylaying transport vessels with bombs, nets, and grapples.
