One of my favorite things in Star Trek is that you get to see all these one-off alien societies that each give us a different lens with which to look at ourselves. Too often people turn the Federation and the mirror universe Terran Empire into a false dichotomy, thinking we must be one or the other, but in reality the future has infinite possibilities.

So in that spirit, here's a few alien races that I think would be fun to include.
