The process to conclude this pic was a bit funny and awkward: The sketchwork was made during the lunch time of my current job, using a Cintiq 12WX. The rest was done at home, but since I'm not so familiar with regular tablets and only recently I've got the infamous Wacom Bamboo, I felt more confortable printing the sketch and inking through the old way, on paper. After scanning, I colored it with my Wacom.

Cintiq is basically a mix between a tablet and a monitor. In a rough comparison, think about the use of the stylus on DS screens. Way different than a Bamboo, which is just an average tablet, and quite small to work IMO, but it's all what I can purchase at the moment.

Bamboo is still a good purchase, most people at my job use it and they're fine. EBay isn't a good choice for me to buy electronic gadgets due to the high shipping fees to Brazil, and the risk of paying insane custom duties because of the stupid protectionist politics from brazilian government. Usually electronic products arrives here 3 times more than the original price. =/
Para quem sabe fazer animação 2D, a Cintiq é muito prática porque já elimina as etapas de ilustração no papel, uso de scanners e montagem da sequência. A exemplo disso, pode-se desenhar e montar uma sequência de animação diretamente em programas como o Flash. Claro que isso pode ser feito em uma tablet comum, mas desenhar direto em um monitor é obviamente algo bem mais intuitivo.
No Mercado Livre e em sites especializados vc encontra, mas os olhos e o fígado são apenas parte das prestações. =P Uma Cintiq dessas de 14 polegadas custa mil dolares nos EUA, mas aqui está entre 4500 e 6000 reais. E tem também as de 21 polegadas, mas essas já valem o preço de um Gol 2005. =(
