So this is Mark's father when Mark is about 10 years old or older.
Marks Father took up his fathers work to continue the families tradition of blacksmithing and enchanted arms.
The slave or servant that was bred to have an heire was a Lynx furry ( or Keidran from the twokinds universe) and always given a special name.
Most slaves were given generic names so they don't have to remember every name they give them. But they give special names to the useful or slaves that already had a name a choice to keep it or let them change their name.
Mark's Father helped trained a special slave that was given the honor of being called "Forge" for doing the same work in blacksmithing his family trained in. The name is often passed down to the children of the slave that earned the title, around the time of "Forge the IV" his children became well-gifted enchanters instead of blacksmiths.
Henry and Henretta were "Forge the IV" son and daughter and really wanted them to take the mantle, but they refused and Forge had to take in an apprentice to train the next "Forge".
Mark's mother later passed and his father had to take on a lot of work on his own but found out his wife trained a lot of the slaves to do the same work she did before her passing.
Henretta grew to have feelings for Marks Father but kept them well hidden. Though it wasn't to be since Marks father will pass soon after.
( I would like to say sorry for all the ext for the story if you're not a fan of reading. I just wanted to get the story set in stone so please forgive my long messages)
