Let me say this just before I state my peace. I am a HUGE fan of both Bethesda's past work, and Fallout in general. It was Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 4 that really cemented my love for the setting. I love the Retro Futuristic Apocalypse art style that was brought to the forefront in Fallout 4, and there are a lot of things I... enjoyed about Fallout 76.
But Bethesda has just pushed it too far. They... have messed up in so many different ways, but I still enjoyed the game, and I still played it. I was filled with hope that it will improve, and... it probably still will.
But the Atomic Shop has just pushed it too far. They want us to send them pictures of us celebrating Christmas in the game? Well, that'd be all said and good.
But their Christmas items are all behind a pay wall known as the Atomic Shop. It would take $72 to get all the Christmas related digital 'merchandice' that they put into it. More than I even paid for the game.
And this wouldn't be even so bad if they didn't release a bundle on Fallout 4's shop that had far more than what is given in Fallout 76, in a single bundle that costs far less than what we have to pay in the Atomic Shop.
That isn't the Christmas Spirit - that's just trying to swindle faithful customers. I preordered Fallout 76 early on, I was with them through thick and thin... but... this...
I just can't anymore. Not for now. I can't keep overlooking how many horrible messups and business tactics that they have thrown at us.
I wish I could play the game, but it is just filling me with... unwanted rage, and I have issus that make that very hazardous for me.
So... for now... until they fix the game further... until they start having fair prices for actual good content... I... just can't suggest this game to anybody. Fans of Fallout or not.
Bethesda has just gone too far.
And Yule be sorry for this, Bethesda.
Maybe someday as sorry as I am.

I've never been invested in the Fallout series (though I get why people love it so) and even I feel for you and everyone else that feel betrayed by Fallout 76
I don't know if this is any consolation for you, but the upcoming Fallout: Miami mod for Fallout 4 is looking quite nice

After I got into skyrim and saw just how much of the game on my computer was dumbed down and made to be a game that is for consoles, I've kinda stopped having any sort of enjoyment with Bethesda. Its no longer a port from computer to console, its an awkwardly done port from console to computer.
I'd rather play this russain fall out equestria game: http://foe.ucoz.org/main.html

The norm of why fallout games from Bethesda are so good is because the mod community, with out them they really can't do shit right and the perfect example was the game you all hyped up for. I did not buy nor pre-order because I was one of those people who were very disappointed with fallout 4 and saw this coming years ahead. I still love fallout but the future games of it such as fallout 4 and 76 will forever be a reason why It should lay rest and not be continued. also I want Bethesda to actually learn that you can't make a shitty game and expect people to buy it and if we keep buying there games than they will never learn. so those who buy Bethesda games that are absolute dog shit just think about it, Bethesda is not the problem, you are the problem.
