A little Christmas Gift for me great buddy 
Ian-exe
He loves Inflation, and he loves Spyro.
So why not simply combine the two in a story, telling an alternative way of how the story could have happen?

Spyro belongs to Activision
Being the one chosen to save all the Dragons can be a pretty exhausted job.
This was very true for Spyro who constantly had to be running, jumping, and gliding across all kinds of worlds on his quest to save his fellow Dragons.
They all had been turned into statues, and it was simply when the tiny Purple hero took and cast a fire onto them that the seal would be broken, and the big Dragons would be free once more.
These statues was often very vague looking, so it was always a bit of a surprise for Spyro to see just how some of his friends actually looks like in real life.
Such was the case when he broke the seal of a statue with the name "Magnus" engraved on it, and suddenly he had a pretty big shadow looming over him as he looked up!
Not only was Magnus tall like most adult Dragons but he was also pretty generously with his weight, as he had a big bulging belly hanging in front of him.
He seemed to be a pretty jolly fellow though as he said "Ey! Great job there Spyro!" before then getting on his knees as he said he wanted to give the little Dragon something.
"This here is a bit of a trick that a friend of mine named Smrgol thought me." Magnus said as he took and did a deep inhaling, causing his already big and round belly to start inflating out even rounder right in front of Spyro's eyes! (Almost bumping him off his feet due to how close to the belly he was.)
"Woah! That's so cool!" Spyro said super excitedly as it was just the reaction Magnus had expected a little one like that to get from it.
"Yes, it is pretty handy to have when needing some help making it easier to fly and such." Magnus said as he then tried to let the extra air out of his system, which resulted in a sudden big burp on his part. (Causing Spyro to let out a bit of a laughter over it.)
"But it can also be used in many other ways, so that I way I want to share this gift with you." Magnus said as he told Spyro to simply inhale for a longer time and he could do it just as well.
Trying it out himself Spyro was amazed to see how his own scaly belly was starting to bloat out, and Magnus was looking a bit like a very proud father seeing his "son" being able to learn so quickly.
"You seem to have got the hang of it by now, so just remember to not over do it!" Magnus said before he was teleported away, leaving Spyro to continue on his adventure with his new founded gift.
Almost as soon as Magnus was gone Spyro immediately tried to swell up his belly a lot more, just to see how his body would handle it.
It was pretty insane to see that his stomach could bloat out so much that it was touching the ground, and yet the small Dragon wasn't feeling any harm at all.
Trying to run for a bit with his extra empty mass to drag around Spyro could feel how despite looking pretty overweight he wasn't feeling a single bit heavier at all! (In fact, he even felt a bit lighter then average.)
Seeing a bit of a gap Spyro made a small jump for it, only to feel how he ended up flying about 10 feet forward before landing again! Picking up the pace again Spyro started to make several more bounces, as he found himself getting forward a lot quicker by doing this series of jumps.
Hitting a small rock by accident it made Spyro fall right onto his face, before then feeling his big light body pushing him forward. Spyro then ended up facing a small hill, causing him to roll down like a ball right into a pack of sheep's at the very bottom.
"STRIKE!!!"
Sending Sheep's flying all around him the puffed up Spyro managed after some time get himself back onto his legs as he knew that no matter how fun this was, he still had a villain that needed to be defeated!
Spyro knew that he wouldn't be able to reach the final leave before he had been collecting everything, but with this new power of his would he even need to teleport?
Getting himself into position Spyro inhaled some more, as he allowed his already inflated midsection push out so much that his own feet could barley touch the ground.
After that he made a light jump upwards and found that he remained floating in the air, weight so little now that he was perfectly weightless!
Doing one small inhale more Spyro pushed the scale over so that he was now to light, and as a result started to slowly descend upwards about 20-30 feet!
Using his wings to steer himself Spyro started to feel a bit like a living Zeppelin, since it was thanks to all the hot air inside of him that he was able to float around like this.
It looked pretty ridiculous seeing what looked like a overly inflated Spyro parade float gliding through the air, but it was letting him skip a lot of stuff and getting to that Gnasty Gnorc a lot quicker!
Entering himself into the Gnorc Gnexus with his inflation gliding Spyro could see that Gnasty Gnorc hadn't been expecting him yet, since he was just wandering around out in the open by himself.
Seeing the perfect moment to strike down at him Spyro tried to make himself get down quickly, by letting out air in the same way as he had seen Magnus do.
"BUUUUURRRPPP!!!!"
As could be expected a burp of that size was impossible to make silent as Gnasty Gnorc spotted Spyro in the air, and the small Dragon knew he had to act quickly while he still had the chance.
Hoping that he could still hit him with a flame from a 15 feet distance Spyro let that little spark inside of his throat get to work, as he let all of his air out at once!
What happen next was something that Spyro would have never dared doing if he had known what he knows now, as instead of just an extra long stream of fire all that added air created a massive fireball to be shoot out of his mouth!
All Gnasty Gnorc could do was stare over his own incoming doom as the fireball made contact with him, creating a blast so hard that it completely engulfed the whole Gnorc Gnexus!
As he came gliding down to ground level again Spyro was pretty stunned to see that all that was left now by this big baddy was his massive club and part of his armor!
Despite feeling a lot like it had been literal overkill on his part there Spyro knew that he couldn't do anything to change it now, as he just quickly got the last of the Dragon's and eggs saved before returning back home.
After his heroic journey now had come to an end Spyro gave himself some much needed vacation by the beach, and at least now when somebody would suddenly show up and ask for his help he would know what to do.
If he could spot them coming from a far he would simply puff out his belly in advance, and then claim to be "To out of shape" to do any world saving at the moment.
