All in all ~2 hours in oC
Lots of references for Forerunner Architecture and the SPI Armor, the environment is completely free though. Inspired by the book Ghosts of Onyx, this is my interpretation of the inside of the Micro Dyson Sphere...

As for how Sgt. Johnson made it out in one piece, it's better shown in the Halo artbook/comic mashup from a few years back. That made more sense than the books did.
And you did this in two hours? What would you be able to do in like a whole day?
I'd have to find that stuff ... we austrians never get propper background stuff for our games :<
Haaa, love your MOvember meme icon! XD
it's beautiful.
Read 4 books, huge halo fan here. Thanks for the pic
I like dhalo for what it was, designs, story, everything, but most of all I think I liked the universe it was set in...then again, personally I could do with Halo having the same amount of customizability that CoD4:MW offers X3
He may as well make the damn movie XP
This is absolutely fantastic. :D Huge fan of the Halo story, currently on the 5th book (which I need to find :B), myself and have the 6th one sitting on my window sill waiting for me.
Thanks :3
Anything with Halo in it is automatically good, even One One Se7en, as sad as that sounds.
SO AWSOME
Probably needed a slight distant upwards curve in the horizon but still the pic is neat.
Needs more Spartan III's ^.^
Well, considdering that the Dyson sphere would have a curve of one degree every 2.6 Million Kilometers, I don't think you'd be able to see the distance rising a lot with atmospheric distortion, vapor etc.
You really think the skies in a Dyson Sphere would be blue?
And...well, mostly I went with the description in the book, but considdering that the Dyson sphere has an atmosphere we can breath (i.e. Oxygen, Nitrogen, Carbondioxide - which is the same composition we have on earth) and our sky is blue because od refracted light in said atmosphere, yes I belive it woiuldn't be far from logic to asume a Dyson Spheres sky would be blue
See, the question I wonder more about is, how are you going to simulate a night in a Dyson Sphere, block the Sun ;3?
naw only joking ipoke its a brillient piccy love the detail you seem to always put in even when doing a speed work ^_^
though i do have the book and am about to start it once i have finished wintersmith
I read the Fall of Reach and rather liked it. I read "The Flood" and was not too fond of it.
The Flood sucked big time X3 First Strike was okay though...interesting tale of how they would get back to Earth
..hm looking back at all i have typed not sure where I had all this pent up at.
To be fair, I did not mind the spartan humanization of Fall of Reach or Ghosts of Onyx. What I do mind is the lack of S.III characterization in REACH and/or that we did not get to play as the remaining S.IIs during REACH. Noble team consisting primarily of S.IIIs wih the exception of Jorge is just a dump on the original S.III concept. There surely would have been more S.IIs to go around that could have been on or be brought to reach, but even so, considering the age of Carter and the other Noble Members, they would have needed to be involved in Operation TORPEDO of which we know only two survived... fuck retconning of that sort <.<
As for H4LO, I will get it, simply because I want to know where they take it, but my issue is more general than just that of Master Chief. Admitedly, if MC does take his helmet off and we actually see his face, I might just go homicidal, but I'll leave that up to the future. My issue is that I'm afraid they'll take it down the forerunner books path. From what I understand, the new book series has established that humans were already around for a lot longer than our history records and that we were defeated by the Forerunner and de-evolved. I think Greg Bear might have been high on some shit and chanelled too much DUNE when he wrote that, because that just throws it all straight out of balance. As much as I hate humanocentric points of view in sci-fi games, which is also an issue I take with the Mass Effect games, the HALO series up until H3 offered a nice place for humanity. We evolved as our history records and we are the technologcial lowpoint of galactic civilization, with the possible exception of the Brutes perhaps (which have also been deformed ever since H2 and H3). Now we used to be some sort of empire and we "just can't remember" who we used to be or some shit like that and it just takes the bite of it <.<
Talk about pent up, this shit just annoys me to no end. I don't mind if they want to take a look at how MC ticks, I mean, for all we know they might really characterize him the way his kind of training would... i.e. an inhuman warrior with possibly the slightest hint of emotional attachment to nothing but other Spartans and Halsey - but involving Humans in Forerunner development and making us the latchkey centerpiece that had them fail at beating the Flood is just fucking insulting.
