Haven't figured out what the gun does yet, and I already have the Gunblade loaded with magic bullets... any suggestions?

hmmm, well if you already have magic bullets then why not make it so that the gun is enchanted to shoot out elemental attacks? And when necessary, can create portals for the sake of escape or transport to other parts of the field for you to get a better shot at your enemies. And I have a feeling the judges won't be able to have any rules against it since it's not technically a weapon that they have heard of before.

Oddly enough, iirc, in FF10 there's a dressphere that allows you to be a gunmage.

really? Don't you mean FF ten two? Sorry, I just felt the need to get technical. FF10 is the one where they need to defeat Sin and go on all those cool adventures. If I recall correctly those spheres didn't come into play until FF Ten Two.
