Prints for sale here: http://www.zazzle.com/thedancingemu* (More coming soon, but I'm leaving to visit my family for a few days so I'll finish when I get back!)
Original belongs to the commissioner
Finally finished this, when I went to sign the back last night I realized I'd already dated this when I started it in December of last year! Geez, took me long enough, sorry again Anbessa XP
Anyway, this is the second commission I've done for
anbessa, of his characters Jarri, Chan Ak-Lee and their son Shiro in one of my own landscapes along with some of my creatures. Characters belong to him.

Wow, this is super impressive-- the characters and creatures are all very nicely done, but what really catches my eye, oddly enough, is the sheer amount of detail in that background. The moss, the shadows, all those tiny leaves!
ahh I just noticed the little upside-down gryphonthing behind the tree, so cute!
This is beautiful and definitely worth that long of a wait! Is it entirely watercolor or are there other mediums as well?

whee, here it is! *spazzes out*
I, too, love all about it, the way you handled the scenery from a handful of vague descriptions, the characters and their details, body language, gear... and many wondrous critters all around, your trademark dragons and cute little gryphons which apparently like chocolate. ^^
and the way you coloured the mossy branch, and the misty background... the sky must be clouded, since the far mountains lie in shadows. and with that much moisture in the air it's a wonder their hair didn't curl up. :)
hm, one of the leaves in the upper left edge looks like a dragon head. a strange new plant, maybe? ^^
I would fave this a hundred times, unfortunately once must be enough. =^^=
gee, I'm so excited I cant type straight!
