The smell of raw fish and sticky rice filled the human's nose as he sat there, tucked in between a group of grains, feeling them adhere to his body, each matching his size. He gave a little squirm, placed in there earlier by Zed, the merman who sat next to the table he was situated on. He looked around, seeing a small group of sushi that he was part of, the merman not even acknowledging him. Instead, his attention was elsewhere.
His fingers pinched around a nearby roll, dipping it into the soy sauce and bringing it up to his mouth. Bryan watched as Zed opened wide, those odd lines outlining his maw parting, showing the blueish, purple flesh within. He could hear that sound as he chewed it up, the jaws flexing to and fro as Zed enjoyed his meal, one that the human was part of.
Bryan's spine shivered as Zed locked his eyes on him, or so it had appeared. The merman's focus was instead on the roll that contained him, and adding it to the hundreds that had passed in between his lips for good. Bryan grunted as Zed's scaly finger pressed onto the roll, pushing him a little deeper into the rice as they held onto it. He could hear the soft exhale of Zed's breath as the maw soon enclosed around the sushi roll, the human having just enough of a view of that purple flesh to overcome his senses.
Immediately, Zed's breath took over Bryan's smell, squelching saliva took over his sense of sound, and the surging of the purple tongue disoriented him while it shifted over to his jaws. The molars came down, pressing onto the fish, its soft flesh protecting him, before the tongue scooped it back up, not even pausing before a swallow. Bryan wondered if Zed knew which one he was in, would the merman try tasting him a little longer. The human blushed at the thought, knowing that a being the size of a grain of rice was probably indistinguishable.
Soon enough, it all splashed down into the stomach acid, soaking Bryan in the substance as it seeped into the rice, just as soy sauce would. He struggled to surface from the rice, the salmon of his roll now split from the chewing earlier. He looked to his right, seeing the tuna begin to sink into the acids, fading below the slightly translucent substance, falling apart as the stomach had its way. Steamy fumes wafted from around where it sank, as well as a few bubbles, letting out foul steam scented with digesting fish.
Bryan could hear the merman's voice, muffled as he spoke to Markus. He smiled at it, the human already certainly gone from his predator's mind as he played with the other fellow. A soft thud could be heard on a wall, the last acknowledgement he'd ever recieve from the fish around him. Instead, egg nigiri splashed down into the mess next to him, sending a thick wave of chyme over him, washing off a few more grains of rice from his little "life raft." It was an oddly comforting thought for Bryan, to be forgotten as food is... and he laid there peacefully... wondering if Markus would last long enough at Zed's feet to join him as calories on the merman in the future.

So, this whole thing is thanks to
JordilianVector and while I am not one for feet, nor anime, I doooo love the design of the character Zed O'Brien from "Blood Blockade Battlefront - Kekkai Sensen" (evidently he's the best thing to come out of that anime, as its as much of a clusterfuck as its name), so I was happy to join in on the commission from
Xamz .
He wanted an extreme perspective view of the merman, with his character Markus at his feet, with the full knowledge that my human Bryan was merely another snack for the big fellow. So, its a win/win for both of us! Absolutely love the end result, and I may post the alternate (probably canon accurate) version of this image in my scraps, which features red flesh instead of blue/purple if you guys ask for it.
There's always more than one side of the story. Wanna see what a day with a giant fish man looks like on the outside? Check out
