That was what I understood: Absolute Terror Fields could only be damaged or pierced by intense, amplified emotional energy (usually rage/grief/anger) channeled from the EVA Pilot through the EVA itself. Being that Cyberwolf EVA-09 is also a living creature under his armour, doing this when EVA-09 has been badly hurt himself would certainly be possible.
