Today is the professional holiday of the Day of the Rescuer of the Russian Federation, celebrated
by all employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and persons involved.

Emergencies occur in accidents on highways and water
surfaces, on main pipelines, in fires and explosions in residential and
social buildings, on technological equipment of industrial facilities,
in the detection and neutralization of unexploded ordnance, in the release of chemically
dangerous and radioactive substances, terrorism, hurricanes, heavy rains and snowfall,
floods, epidemics.

The main role in conducting search and rescue operations is played by rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. We are always
the first where people need help: in the rubble of destroyed buildings, in the smoke and fire
of fires, in mangled vehicles, in flooded areas. We
are constantly on duty, promptly respond to any signals about the need to provide
help people in trouble.
