What happens when you have a relatively new (3 years) Samsung Refrigerator thats plagued you within months of buying it. Finding out that Samsung has a sucktacular warranty and repair policy.
Add the compressor starts dying Thursday...loudly...and a very pissed off dragon who was totally fed up with Samsung products now.
Give dragon implements of destruction such as sledge hammer, pry bar, M-7 Bayonet, Skilsaw and this is the result of the final outcome.
it was diced up cause getting it into the kitchen required removal of the door frame and that wasn't going to happen again.
I added the sign for effect.
And yes, we're currently fridge-less til a new one comes in this week...NOT MADE BY SAMSUNG!!!

Thanks for the warning, didnt Samsung try to bring their crap cars over here too?
My parents have a Kenmore (built by Frigidaire) that they bought in the late 70's. And though it's worn out with broken shelfs and a icemaker that quit years ago, the thing is still working. They've been waiting for it to die but it hasn't quit yet!

Samsung (SMI) never really got off the ground. Renault bought 70% of it but never tried to bring cars to the US (yet). They had their hands full getting started in Korea. SMI was based on Nissan designs (and used Nissan engines). They are redoing everything to a Renault model now. Hyundai, Kia, and Daewoo are enough for now. The big worry is Chinese cars:

Yeah, I sure want to ride in that. OTOH, if some car does hit mine I hope it's one of those. Might scratch the paint though.
That Frigidaire may have to be killed. I had a 1940-vintage one until I moved 5 years ago. It was still running and may still be going in someone's garage for all I know.
We really made good stuff when we built those. People got sick of them long before they wore out. Many outlived the purchaser.

Ouch, that thing crushed like a beer can. Now I heard GM is planning to import Chinese cars. I hope they are beefed up for safety here...but who knows?
I also remember Chrysler (before they got bought by Fiat) was thinking of importing Chery autos from china. I think that fell through when they filed for bankruptcy. I test drove a couple of Kia SUV's out of curiosity and they were OK performers with a deceit interior, nothing innovative. The resell value of Kia's is terrible.

In the orient, there are pubs where they let you take out frustrations by smashing large pots and many other kinds of breakables.
While over here, we have to make do... well as you seemed to have demonstrated pretty well. I'd have to say you sure did a number on it but I bet it was well worth it. Let's hope the new fridge doesn't end up with the same fate. Then again you could always build a cellar and fill it with dry ice...

M-7 Bayonet? Why'd you let Hake use that on the fridge? that could have messed up the blade if she tried to stab it in the wrong spot.
All the rest sound reasonable, although I assume you made sure there was no rage when the skillsaw came out. When anger and power tools are combined, it usually ends in tears. (well, more likely blood, but 'This will end in tears' is more poetic.)

Good to hear. I've seen too many good tools destroyed by misuse, and when it's something as precision engineered as a combat knife (which is the spiritual descendant of that most noble of weapons, the Knight's sword) it is literally painful to see the beauty of a fine blade sullied and destroyed.
But an old blade that has had its 'glory days' pass it by is now just a hunk of metal, fit for whatever it can do before returning to the forge to be recycled.
