Another picture that took off in its own direction. Originally it was going to be a "shocked at his new form" TF picture, but somehow it made more sense to show him happy: "Oh joy, I've always wanted to be a mouse - and now I am!" I need to draw more happy TF pictures. BTW, his pose was somewhat inspired by Dumbo's Timothy Q. Mouse, who tended to walk around with his butt sticking out - https://tinyurl.com/y92o3etg

I came across the photo a little while ago in the special features section of the Dumbo DVD. He's standing next to an artist holding a sketch of Timothy, and it almost looks like he's saying "you're gonna turn me into that mouse? I can't wait, let's do it!"
(Sorry, but I don't get the "George" reference.)

Well naturally this outcome should make all of us very happy!
Timothy Q Mouse was a fun character. I didn't see him in the live action Dumbo trailer, and given the prominence given to humans in the preview I bet he's not going to have much of a role if any, which is too bad.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that live-action remake; I love Tim Burton, but his films can be hit or miss. Someone once said his original films are much better than his remakes - His Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Planet of the Apes and Dark Shadows all left something to be desired IMHO.
I only saw the first of those and while I enjoyed some of the additional details on the character of Willie Wonka vis-a-vis the Christopher Lee character, it was definitely not as good as the original. Gene Wilder just owned that role. I hadn't caught that he was directing this Dumbo either, so... yeah, hooves crossed here.
