Leaving society behind means leaving suffering behind
True freedom is meditativeness, because meditativeness is freedom from the judgemental and ambitious mind. Leaving ambitiousness behind means to leave ego behind, leaving ego behind means to leave society behind, leaving society behind means to go into meditativeness and going into meditativeness means becoming more conscious about the mind and ego. The ego is an inner tension, it makes us feel like we can only find ecstasis by feeding our mind with stuff and this is how we create society with our mind. Society is not meditative. The ego wants to be something else than what we already are, meditative consciousness. When we look at it consciously, we can see that society is not something that exists outside of us, it is something that exists inside our meditative consciousness. Any identification with a thought or an ambition is an inner tension that hasn't been yet enlightened with meditativeness. Meditativeness removes this inner tension that the ego creates because it makes us find ecstasis entirely from within, without being dependent on feeding our mind with stuff, without the need of changing ourselves. The more one is meditative, the more one is conscious. One who has transcended their mind is one with universal consciousness, they even have no fear of death because death is also an identification with a thought that only exists in the mind and one who is truly meditative is out of their mind. To live in society means to be ruled by the mind and to live in meditation means to be, or learn to be, the ruler of the mind. Meditation is self government, but it is also a difficult path at the beginning because it is not easy to not get sucked into the turbulence of the mind, and another difficulty one has to face on the path of meditation is also that one has not only to transcend one's own mind, but also the minds of the others. The mind is the dream of universal consciousness and enlightenment means to have awoken from that dream and that universal consciousness is liberated from the mind. The last thing one really wants after having entirely awoken from the dream of the mind is nothing but Nirvana, where eternal meditation of universal consciousness is expanding into ecstasis...
