It's been a hell of a year with a lot of ups and downs. New house, new car, all the trials and tribulations that come with those, new steps - both forward and backward - in my physical and mental health. All of which impacted my art pretty noticeably, sometimes for the better, and sometimes...not so much. Let me tell you, finding pieces for March, July, and August was not easy; I had to pull from some Instagram sketches because I didn't manage to finish any polished pieces those months.

But hey! That's okay. My big goal the past couple of years (in fact, I think it was my New Years resolution) has been to do more original art. Not necessarily less commissions or fanart, but at least a balance between those and personal original works. Last year and the year before I had 8 pieces on this wheel that were either commissions, trades/gifts, or fanart. Now I've got 2 commissions, one gift, and one fanart, leaving 8 completely original pieces. I'd say a direct inverse is a pretty damn good outcome. Who knows, maybe next year I'll be able to fill the entire wheel with original content! Wouldn't that be something ;)
