My niece Corynne recently sent me some digital pictures - from her East Rockaway, New York home - to my smartphone. Most of these 'photo-ops' were taken around December 25th. It marked the second Christmas that she and her husband Hector celebrated, and the first Christmas that their son (and my grand-nephew) Tristan got to celebrate...
In addition, it's the first Christmas for their pet puppy 'Splinter' (who, I later found out, was born within a week of Tristan). I thought I'd share this 'photo-op' of the chihuahua-Yorkshire terrier mix, as one of my final offerings of 2018.
Among the presents that the Duprey family received was a giant musical keyboard - not unlike the one used in (the late) Penny Marshall's film comedy "Big". 'Splinter' was in his usual 'hyperdrive' mode - running around the house, visiting all the holiday guests, watching family members open their respective presents, and playing with the toys that he'd received.
Eventually, the puppy was pooped, and decided to take a brief 'lie down' - on (of all things) said keyboard! And although he was quite curious as to where that strange noise was coming from, the dog stayed where he was - giving Corynne an opportunity to use the camera feature of her own smartphone to take this picture...
