So i've had this idea in the works involving Xing having 9 lives so he can summon up 8 of his own souls, but the more he summons the less they listen to him.

If its only 1 soul that's out, he feels what it feels till its called back inside him, but if its all of them he feels it once they step in, i'm thinking of it like a nerv link since its his souls and hes still alive, if its 1, it keeps intact coz there's only one, but if its many they work on their own and don't follow orders so once they join back with the original he experienced what they felt in an instant.
