Antes de ser marcado era parte de un grupo de mercenarios muy temido, dentro de este grupo era apodado com "La Estrella" debido a su poder de moverse a una velocidad que lo hace invisible aunque de usar esto de noche deja una estela de luz que quema lo que toca aunque esto hace que sus ataques sean más fáciles de detectar.
Si alguien quería que su grupo cazara a alguien solo tenia que hablar con su líder a quien llamaban "El Mundo" y en esta ocasión se les contrato para matar a un grupo de bandido que se ocultaban en el palacio de la cenizas, lugar que recibía este nombre debido a que antes todo el sitio estaba hecho de marfil blanco ya que era habitado por un rey guerrero al que llamaban "El Sol" que estaba en guerra con el monarca del reino vecino que llamaban "La Luna".
el conflicto entre estos dos termino cuando desaparecieron después de que el palacio de aquel rey ardiera en un fuego que tiño todo de color ceniza.
El Grupo de mercenarios entro al palacio aunque fue Hoshi el único que se percato en ese momento que "El Diablo" y "La Torre" se quedaron afuera para tener sexo.
Al rato mataron a todos los bandidos que se les encargo aunque Hoshi se extraño de no ver presente al Mundo ni al al compañero al que llamaban "El Juicio" y sin previo aviso el lugar empezó a ser consumido por un fuego que empezó de forma desconocida, todos trataron de huir aunque por alguna razón las paredes se empezaron a romper a la vez que salían disparadas a cada mercenario causando su muerte.
Hoshi con su velocidad logro salir aunque apenas se detuvo pensando que estaba a salvo, un trozo de pared lo atravesó aunque no lo mato, dentro de poco lo haría y su suerte empeoro al presentarse ante el Dios Yaoista quien le salvo la vida al darle su marca que significa que ahora era de su pertenencia.
