ioco has a rest on a curb overlooking Deadman's Island and Stanley Park from the bank of Burrard Inlet at the new Vancouver Convention Centre, downtown Vancouver, BC Canada. Captured on Halloween day.
Deadman's island has a grim history. Before europeans came to the area, the island was once a battleground where northern and southern tribes clashed. In order to free women, children and elders the southern tribes had taken hostage, 200 northern warriors surrendered on Deadman's Island-and died soon after, pierced by the southerners' arrows. They were buried on that very island, hung from the trees in cedar boxes, as was tradition for the band.
The island was later used as a burial site for european settlers including rail workers, deaths from the Vancouver great fire in 1886, deceased people from "Moodyville" (now known as North Vancouver, my home town), and was used as a quarantine and burial ground for smallpox victims. Squatters built shack-like homes on the property until 1942 when the navy appropriated the land, building HMCS Discovery, a reserve naval base for defense of Vancouver Harbour.
Those that have slept in the normally vacant brick home on the property claim to hear voices of people and moving furniture late at night, with no apparent cause or source. Some claim to have seen apparitions and one claims to have been touched on the shoulder. Nearly anyone who spends time on the island admits that they feel unsettled being there.
Somewhat appropriate of a location to be looking at on Halloween day, don't you think?

It's a big investment to make, but if you make it yourself, it can be quite liberating as well! Most good suiters started out by making their own, and I would suggest you at least look into doing so. matrices.net has some great tutorials on how to make one :)
.. and yes, I made my first suit :)
