A close up comparison. You can see the difference in color, sheen and detail better. Granted, Nightmare Moon has naturally more vibrant colors. The tricot Nightmare Moon looks softer and less stiff.
Nightmare Moon is by Breakfast-Tee. She is made from 2 way tricot. As you can see, it has less of a sheen and doesn't wrinkle as easy. If your character has a sheen, it might be a disadvantage. The color and detail is reproduced slightly better as well. You can't see it, but tricot is very elastic and a lot smoother. It also has a plush feel to it. Peach skin isn't as smooth, but is still smooth. However, it is definitely not elastic. This elasticity has it's advantages and disadvantages. Tricot is a little more durable and easier to work with. Tricot is very much at the whims of the stuffing inside. If it's lumpy, the daki will be lumpy. If it's rough, the daki will feel rougher. Peach skin however keeps it's shape better. That stiffness has its advantages too.
Summary,
Tricot:
+Reproduces colors and details better
+Softer and plusher
+More durable
+Elasticity
+More wrinkle resistant
+Not much of a sheen
- At the whims of the stuffing
- More expensive
Peach Skin:
+Keeps shape better
+Cheaper
- Doesn't reproduce color and detail as well, but still very well.
- Subject to snags
- Subject to wrinkles and creases
