I drew this back in November of 2017. I was really missing my dad so I did something with me and him dancing together.
It occurred to me that this moment will never happen. I'm sure that I danced with him as a kid but he fell ill when I was in high school and wasn't able to walk very well at all even with a walker or cane, much less dance in any degree, and now that I'm grown he's gone entirely. So this is definitely a bittersweet piece about a moment I'll never have with him.
For those of you that don't know; I've been drawing my dad as a lion long before his death. He fully accepted being "papa lion" and loved all the doodles I had done of him too, haha.
